ATHLETX SPORTS GROUP ANNOUNCES ATHLETE CONTENT MANAGEMENT PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCKER ROOM SPORTS

LOUISVILLE, KY: Athletx Sports Group, a national leader in producing baseball and softball events, is pleased to announce a groundbreaking partnership with Locker Room Sports, the creator of an immersive content ownership and brand development platform.

The Locker Room Sports program incorporates an athlete’s personal community of family, friends and coaches that share an interest in an athlete’s development and success. Locker Room Sports, based in Chicagoland, helps guide young athletes in the development of their personal brand by championing responsible digital citizenry and the creation of positive digital footprints. Both are essential components of player development in the era of social media. The Locker Room Sports application will enable an athlete to maintain a personalized media gallery, authenticated by coaches, and further allow for development tracking and the interactive engagement of athletes creating and exchanging personalized trading cards.

“We are thrilled to introduce the Locker Room Sports experience to the Athletx Sports Group family of baseball and softball brands,” said Todd Kuta, Partner with Locker Room Sports and Co-Founder of Golflogix, the world’s #1 golf application. “This partnership will allow thousands of athletes to begin to build and manage their own personal brand, which can be incredibly valuable in today’s day and age. Athletes will also be able to better preserve the lifelong memories and new friendships forged at experiential events produced by Athletx,” Kuta continued.

The Locker Room Sports solution was beta tested during Game Day USA’s Junior All-American Games, which took place at the Minnesota Twins Spring Training Complex in Fort Myers, Florida from November 29 through December 1, 2024. The Junior All-American Games enables top athletes to play and train in a MLB Spring Training venue alongside former Major Leaguers. Junior All-American Games participants got the first look at the Locker Room Sports platform and had the opportunity to experiment with it and provide immediate and direct feedback to the owners and developers of the product.

The official launch of the Locker Room Sports solution took place at BaseballFest, the nation’s premier New Year’s baseball event, from December 27, 2024 through January 1, 2025, with locations in Panama City Beach, Florida and Mesa, Arizona. The solution also debuted at SoftballFest, a similar event hosted by Athletx in Panama City Beach during the same time frame.

“BaseballFest and SoftballFest represent the ideal environment for a new product launch,” said Rich Janor, Partner with Athletx. “These events are high energy, celebratory family events in a festival atmosphere with a truly national audience…a new product for a new year,” Janor added.
